Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) film consists of liquid crystal molecules suspended in a polymer matrix, sandwiched between layers of conductive film.
When voltage is applied, crystals align — the glass clears.
Cut the power, and it goes opaque. Instantly.
The film applies to existing glass or integrates into new glass units — viable for both new construction and retrofit projects without replacing the glazing itself.
